Meet Doug and Moose. Doug and Moose are our two kids with furry paws. They're the light of our lives, really. They provide us with many hours of laughter, and that is the only reason we keep them.
Doug, a handsome beagle, is our first born. He has quite an independent spirt and is the ruler of the roost. He keeps his baby brother in check even when Moose is being a perfect angel. Maybe that's because Doug has an angel/devil complex of his own. I liken him to a sour patch kid. He is sweet one minute and sour the next.
Doug is not as tough as he thinks, though. As an only child, he had a serious case of separation anxiety. After seeing him shakin' in his boots every time we left the house, we realized we needed to try for a second. And try we did, until we found Moose.
Moose, a goofy lab, is the baby of the bunch. He's your typical lab. He loves everything and everyone, and that is not an exageration in the slightest. He especially loves his bone, tennis balls, and his older brother... oh, and riding in the car, staying over at his grandma and grandpa's house, and chasing birds and jack rabbits... and let's not forget sleeping in his favorite corner, looking out the front windows, and doing tricks for cookies (the dog kind). Did I mention that he's your typical, happy-go-lucky lab?
The truth of the matter is that Doug and Moose should really have their own TV show. I'm talking a Doug and Moose reality show. I'd watch it. Since they can't, I feel the need to document their lives on my blog because, well, they make me smile and because I can.
