Metaphorically Speaking

Sometimes when there is road construction there are road closures. In this neighborhood there are a lot of road closures.

Two things dictate the timing of the road closures (1) the neighborhood school's schedule and (2) the commuter's traffic patterns.

The construction manager holds meetings with the citizens of the community to determine the timing of the road closures.

The construction manager has personal ties to members of the school board and ultimately, the wishes of the school board supersede the desires of the commuters.

The commuters become frustrated because the road closures always revolve around the school board's requests even when the timing conflicts with rush hour. It is a wonder why the construction manager holds meetings since every road closure to date has been scheduled according to the school board's agenda.

Eventually, the commuters are going to get tired of the untimely road closures and the construction manager's ties to the school board.
