"It's the best when the ordinary is extraordinary." - Ames Brown, The Bachelorette (Season 7)
You guys, you know I usually don't add commentary to my quotes, but this one's in honor of Ames. Hopefully you've already seen this week's episode. If not, oops! Spoiler alert. I wasn't surprised that Ashely let Ames go this week, but it still hurt. Ames is ridiculously sweet and oh-so smart. He didn't say a lot, but when he did speak you were like, "oh my god, he's sooooo right." On his hometown date he took Ashely on a picnic under a blooming magnolia tree and talked about relishing in the everyday things. Ames even referenced the Italian Renaissance idea of being romantic through one's ordinary life: sprezzatura (see, you can learn by watching The Bachelorette).
It's safe to say that I'll miss Ames' sweetness and philosophical prowess. I'm not a betting gal, but if I were I'd bet 500 bean burritos that he won't be single for long...
I haven't watched this show this season, but he is soooooo sweet! I bet you are right, someone is going to love him lots!
ReplyDeleteLoved him. This is the first time I watched the show, and he was by far my favorite guy (and the most quotable). I'm glad Ashley let him go; now maybe I have a chance! Lol.
ReplyDeleteI think you do have a chance! I'll be interested to see him on "The Bachelor Pad." I'll be listening carefully for his wonderful words of wisdom :)
